Phenotypic and Genetic Characterization of Three Different Types of Dangyooza (Citrus grandis), Korean Landrace Citrus

چکیده

Dangyooza (DY), a Korean landrace citrus similar to pomelo (Citrus grandis L. Osbeck), has been consumed as fruit and used in folk remedies treat colds for centuries, it is still garden tree. DY two natural variants, the buk-daengyooza (BDY) seol-daengyooza (SDY) based on distinguishable phenotypic characteristics. However, there little scientific analysis available not only morphological chemical properties but also genetic basis of these variants. To gain better understanding DY, several morphological, phytochemical, chromosomal, traits were analyzed its BDY SDY. Morphological characteristics such leaf shape, hardness, peel thickness discriminate SDY from BDY. Notably, produced smaller with thinner peels than those The major flavanones occurring markedly higher chromosomal configuration diversity using random amplified polymorphic DNA, simple sequence repeat, plastid trnL/F barcoding markers unable clearly phylogenetic relationships among types. This suggests that might have arisen somatic mutation, perhaps nucellar seedling.

Investigation of Genetic Diversity and Structure Analysis of Different Citrus Genotypes Using ISSR Markers

In breeding programs, it is necessary having knowledge of the relatedness and genetic diversity in germplasm pools. The spread of cultivated regions and the high levels of production indicates citrus importance in the global economy. Therefore, 110 citrus genotypes were evaluated using 12 ISSR markers. Overall, 154 polymorphic bands were scored with an average of 12.8 alleles per primer. The po...

Sulfur-Mediated-Alleviation of Aluminum-Toxicity in Citrus grandis Seedlings

Limited data are available on the sulfur (S)-mediated-alleviation of aluminum (Al)-toxicity in higher plants. Citrus grandis seedlings were irrigated for 18 weeks with 0.5 mM MgSO₄ or 0.5 mM MgSO₄ + 0.5 mM Na₂SO₄, and 0 (-Al) or 1 mM AlCl₃·6H₂O (+Al, Al-toxicity). Under Al-toxicity, S decreased the level of Al in leaves; increased the relative water content (RWC) of roots and leaves, the conten...

Genetic Transformation in Citrus

Citrus is one of the world's important fruit crops. Recently, citrus molecular genetics and biotechnology work have been accelerated in the world. Genetic transformation, a biotechnological tool, allows the release of improved cultivars with desirable characteristics in a shorter period of time and therefore may be useful in citrus breeding programs. Citrus transformation has now been achieved ...

Examination of the responses of different genotypes of citrus to huanglongbing (citrus greening) under different conditions.

ABSTRACT Citrus Huanglongbing (HLB) is one of the most devastating diseases of citrus worldwide. The causal agent of HLB in Florida is thought to be 'Candidatus Liberibacter asiaticus'. In this work, we examined the responses of 30 different genotypes of citrus to Florida isolates of 'Ca. L. asiaticus' under controlled conditions in the greenhouse or growth room. Although 'Ca. L. asiaticus' was...
